Through the sacrifice and story of our immigrant parents, the seed of the American Dream was planted, and this is what grew: a commitment to build something bigger than ourselves.

 

2013 - The 1st ramen shop in Connecticut.

Mecha Noodle Bar opens in Fairfield Connecticut on a shoestring budget and a prayer. Founder, Tony Pham, hustles his way out of trouble and into the kitchen.

 
 
 
 

2015 - Partnership + Eat Justice

Enters his childhood best friend, Rich Reyes, now co-founder and CEO. Their partnership is based on two prerequisites: Grow the business and pay it forward.

 
 
 
 

2020 - COVID and the Defining Moment

Just as Mecha grows to 5 stores, COVID shatters the world. With their dining rooms closing, the founders thought of ways to help their employees. They realize the Eat Justice model was designed for this: easily raising funds to help those in need.

Through solely take out sales and a generous donor, EJ raised $200,000 for an employee relief fund. That relief fund provided cash grants, weekly food and supply drives, and health insurance.
